Lawrence House

Well we’ve survived the winter (and what a tough one it was too!) and are now ready and raring to go for the 2023 season!

2023 will see Lawrence House celebrating its fifteenth anniversary; It was the 16th October 2008 when Wayne & Peter picked up the keys to a very run down scruffy guest house on a side street in Blackpool, then known as Bristol Lodge. (We don’t do ‘bristols’ so the name change was inevitable!)

We entered on a journey, with help from friends and family, to create what was to become Lawrence House.  We took a huge risk, spending a grueling eight months refurbishing and re modelling and spending our every last penny knocking a building which we have come to love into shape; Eventually opening the doors to our first paying guests in August 2009.  

We’ve been honoured with several awards along the way including Four Stars, a Silver Award and a national Breakfast Award all from Visit England. Plus several Tripadvisor Travelers Choice awards. In February 2023 Lawrence House was even mentioned in a Sunday Times travel article, describing our humble little guest house as ‘one of the best in Blackpool’!

We’re very proud at what we have achieved but we couldn’t do this without our amazing guests, many of whom have become friends. So here’s to the next fifteen years!
